On Friday & Saturday nights the Bartlesville Osage Casino has a huge Surf & Turf buffet for $25. Beef is nothing new or exciting (in Oklahoma) but good seafood is not readily available in these parts considering we are a land locked state in the middle of the Great Plains. Seafood fair includes: fried shrimp, peel & eat shrimp, sushi, oysters on the half shell, fried clams, crab legs, pecan crusted tilapia, calamari, and fried catfish (well catfish is not really SEAfood, but it fits the fishy theme). There is a large salad bar as well that includes several different kinds of salad including a crab salad and my favorite the broccoli salad. Prime rib is the beef of choice and if you ask for a particular piece (hint: "I want the rarest piece you have.") they might pull a hot one right out of the oven that is succulent. There are plenty of potato dishes (mashed, scalloped, baked), other vegetables and bread to tempt you. But who wants bread and potatoes when there is seafood to eat? To finish the meal (if you have any room left) there is a soft ice cream machine with garnishments or a nice selection of pies and a pretty darn good creme brullee' (something else you don't see much around these parts). My final recommendation? Come hungry.
