Finny's Landing could be a really nice addition to the dining scene of Skiatook, filling the sea-food niche with fried and other more healthy options. It could have some interesting and unique additions to the concept of an all you can eat fried catfish buffet.

It could do a lot of good things, but it doesn't.

This is basic fried food with an apparent "aim for mediocre" approach. There is nothing to complain about if a pile basic fried food on a styrofoam plate is what you are seeking. The folks there are nice enough, but they give the impression that their job is to basically fill the feed troughs. Pretty much everything about this place falls into the un-inspired, pedestrian, lackluster and forgettable.

Their fried catfish could perhaps be considered "good enough", but not really good and this pretty much applies across the board for everything else there. The concept of ambiance is distinctly absent and the place feels like precious little thought went into what a dining experience actually could be, beyond chowing down on a pile of ambiguous food, slightly tired food.... Fressen style.

One stormy night the wife and I needed some dad'gum catfish! I've seen the catfish sign before so I forcefully drug my kids inside. (No McDonald's tonight!). The catfish was crispy and flaky. Also the cobbler was a huge hit with all four of us. They claim it is homemade and I concur. (Casual dining!). Also, I looked like a dirty roughneck when I came in. Somehow I wasn't politely handcuffed and taken around back and hosed off before I was allowed to enter.
The only tricky part was that you have to order your food or buy the buffet as you enter.

Stopped in for lunch here recently. The food was absolutely delicious. The place was rather empty but I believe that they had just began lunch service on weekends at that time. The catfish tasted amazing, as well as the sides that came with our meal. Good portion size and not too expensive either.

Buffet
Great catfish
Down home cooking, felt like a family reunion complete with disposable plates. The ice cream and cobbler were great.
