But I'd also like to give a shout-out to Circles in the Sand, who we've just happened upon 3 - 4 times now on our regular visits to Bandon. Check the website for his schedule, and if he happens to be "drawing" when you're at Face Rock, take the time to chat with Denny and walk one of his labyrinths.

We stayed at the Best Western at Face Rock with its own private path to the beach. Sunset was spectacular. February is a great month to visit.

Southern Oregon Coast and especially Bandon is spectacular! Face Rock at Bandon, OR one of our favorite places.

This is a great place to see an expansive area of the coastline! It's beautiful! There are informational displays explaining the large coastal rocks, its history, the nearby wildlife and warnings about the need to be careful on the cliffs. There are picnic tables and restrooms, and a stairway down to the beach. The parking lot gets full during the Circles of the Sand display of a labyrinth "drawn" on the sand -- this is a path of the labyrinth as a means of meditation, transformation and healing.

Several times a month a group creates this walkable sandy path for all to experience the benefits of taking some time just to be themselves. It's very artistic and quite impressive. However, once the tide comes up, the paths are washed away until the next path is drawn. A schedule of Circles of the Sand labyrinth is available online. During the late afternoon hours after the sand displays are drawn there are dozens of people at this viewpoint walking the paths, it's pretty cool!

This is an off the beaten path location but worth visiting. I just wish someone would fill the many (and some deep) potholes in and around the parking areas!

We have visited high tide, low tide, storm and wind and it never gets old! Beach access is easy to get to and Old Town Bandon is not far.
