Downtown location is very handy for lunch or dinner. They have a very nice patio out back, though in the middle of a summer day it can be bit hot...sit inside and enjoy the cool.

Service is prompt and friendly and the food outstanding. Their basic Mexican dishes are excellent (ie: warm succulent carnitas...not all dried out) so the traditionalist will be happy, but the real treat is their fusion or modern spin on many items. Watermelon gazpacho - super on a hot day. Plantain taco shells - crispy chewy goodness. Lengua tacos - crispy little bites, but soft in the centre.

If you're looking for something new or are simply tired of the usual burger & fries, this place should be your first choice...and at a price that's very reasonable!

Craving some tacos on a Saturday afternoon in downtown Bend and wandered into Barrio.

Tacos are the jam here. My friend and I tried them all but her favorite was the pineapple bacon and mine was the chicken tinga.

We started with the 2 salsa and guacamole appetizer, was excellent and presentation was cool.

Good beer selection. I had the hibiscus margarita as recommended by our waiter and it was fantastic. Not too sweet and refreshing.

Eat some tacos in Bend at Barrio!

Barrio has a tapas menu which offers some variety, I ordered the ceviche but it needed a bit of a kick and the wait person, offered the homemade Habanero sauce which was excellent. Also, I ordered the paella which was very good. The wait person was very attentive and provided excellent service.
