The most amazing exhibit of arrowheads and chipped tools I've ever seen. The historical stores set up as if on a street were fascinating. The visit to the caboose was a real eye-opener. This is a wonderful museum, well worth a visit or a dozen. It would take a dozen to take it all in. I wish they had more benches to sit on because so many of the exhibits were so full of interesting things that I would have liked to just sit there and look at them. The Oregon trail exhibit was especially interesting because I'd just read A. B. Guthrie's book The Way West. How those folks did that trek I just can't imagine, but the exhibits here helped me see what they went thru. I'll be going back here again. Brownsville is an interesting little town with lots to offer.
