For the price it was a place to sleep and that is what we wanted. Drove right past it the first time because sign is so small. Bathroom is small and the room would feel larger if the TV/dresser stand was removed. Mount the TV on the wall with a wall rack for the SAT box and go with a lowboy dresser. If you have coffee in the room have more then one cup for the guess. The price was good but it could really be a nice place with some different color paint outside and since it rustic go for that central Oregon look with art work and décor.

Room Tip: Do not expect the Ritz.

The rooms are small but serviceable. Two doubles is a little tight, but the beds are very comfortable and it is surprisingly quiet for its proximity to the highway. I would stay there again if I passed this way.

Room Tip: Don't expect the amenities of a newer hotel. It is a place out of the 70's and it has its c...

Thank goodness it was for one night only. There was literally no where else with a room where we could book so had to stay here. The room was dirty and there was no breakfast. The whole area was derelict. .

Just stayed here and yes it is old but it is super clean and the proprietors were super! The beds were comfortable, had a microwave and fridge on top of that. We visited Crater Lake and it was a reasonable distance. Had breakfast at a local restaurant ( I think it was the Chalet) and it was also very good.

The rooms are inexpensive but clean and comfortable. The hosts are accommodating and pleasant. We had a noisy neighbor at 11:00pm and they addressed it immediately. The bed was clean and they are aware of smells, so immediately shampooed a carpet and replaced curtains and linens where another guest smoked inside (supposed to be our room, and we were moved as the carpet dried). Flat screen television that barely fits in the entertainment center, but still visible. Blackout curtains are a nice touch and keep the rooms cooler in the heat.
There is a Pilot gas station/Subway restaurant directly behind the building which is convenient but does contribute to the noise. We found turning on the bathroom fan and closing the door and windows helped and we were able to sleep soundly.
Don't expect a lot of restaurant options in this area. They are scarce in this town. Groceries are also very sparse in the "market". We brought some of our own food in a cooler and used the mini fridge and microwave, which worked well. Subway is also good for a meal and the employees were quick, being used to buses of travelers and needing food quickly.
Free WiFi is available but not strong due to the remote location. I was able to use my laptop with patience for websites. Works great for cell phones and tablets loading simple pages.
Chemult is not a tourist town. It's a stopping point for tired travelers or outdoor lovers. If you need a budget place, this is a good one. If you're looking for a lodge there are other more expensive options. We chose here because we would be out exploring and wanted a comfortable bed and a place to shower that was clean. This was perfect.

Room Tip: All rooms are ground floor. The ones near the back may be quieter. We were in the middle but still m...
