We had a great lunch before heading out wine tasting. Be sure to call for reservations. Great menu. Large servings, so my wife and I split a salad and burger.

Ponzi is a big producer and the wines appear on every wine list in the valley. We thought that the Pinots were good but did not reach the hights of some of the other wineries. Tastes are different of course and it's 20 bucks for a single stem tasting which you can share with your partner. Service staff is quite enthusiatic but not pushy and sitting a sipping with a view of the vineyards is quite pleasant.

I am a fan of their Savignion Blanc. Nice, Crisp and great alone or with appetizers, or seafood dinner

So it is no longer part of the Ponzi tasting experience which was pointed out to us after sitting at the bar for 5 minutes without serving. You are able to do a tasting flight or non-Ponzi wines and the wines I chose were nice but you're on your own when it comes to learning anything about them. The service was simply awful. Yes they were busy, but when we were served, I got the distinct feeling that I wasn't worth their time. Only come here if you are going to eat at the Bistro as that is pretty much all this bar caters to now. It's a shame as I enjoyed it in the past when it was part of the Ponzi tasting setup.

Visited the Ponzi Winery too late in the day to taste (Absolutely gorgeous venue to view the countryside and taste wines in an upscale environs) and decided to take in the restaurant, which was near our Dundee Hills hotel.
Great venue - -outdoor seating or indoor seating, which reminded us of our trip to Italy five years ago. Excellent waitress, very helpful with wines, food specials and menu in general. Quite personable and provided suggestions to area wineries, etc, which we truly appreciated.
Selections focused on FRESHNESS. We were very pleased with our entrees (both daily specials) and concluded the meal with the artisanal cheese plate. It was superb. (Our server noted that one of the cheese makers was at an adjacent table - - very thoughtful.)
Our experience is that this place is well managed, focused on freshness and quality. Hope your experience mirrors ours!!!
