Ruddick Wood is a lovely, old and dark restaurant on the main street of downtown Newburg, a small town in the middle of Oregon's Willamette Valley. It contains a bar with appropriate food and drink, and a small restaurant that serves inventive and tasty dishes, especially small plates. Menus change seasonally Try the flatbread, deviled eggs, Brussels sprouts and French fries. The entrees include a selection of meats, risotto, a fish of the day and vegetable pie. A standout on the dessert menu is the pumpkin brulee. The wine list is extensive and appropriate to the restaurant's location in Oregon's premiere wine country. Parking is easy, and the cost is reasonable.
