We met another couple here for a late breakfast/early lunch on a weekday. The service was top notch - and included an offer to turn the fireplace on, which was a nice touch. My husband ordered Italian sausage, eggs, potatoes and hazelnut toast. The sausage lacked seasoning and the eggs were over-cooked. I had a veggie omelet which was unusual with whole little carrots. It was huge. Potatoes were very good sauteed with onions. Our friends ordered hamburgers (they arrived 10 mins. late for breakfast) which looked delicious. Breakfast ends sharply at 12, or 11:50 am. Don't be late.
I had a Bloody Mary which was lacking..although it was served nicely with salt on the rim of the glass. The tomato juice and any seasoning just didn't taste great. I would not order it again.
This place offers great evening specials.
The environment is a bit dark--it's a bar. We sat at a table by a high window with sun streaming thru so it was pleasantly light. The little fireplace provides a comfy and welcoming touch.
Lots of off street parking. Easy to find location, just go north out of Newport to the first traffic light directly across from the road to the lighthouse.
Restroom was clean.
