We spent two nights in the friendly and spotless Inn at Nye Beach and will go back at the first opportunity. Beds were very comfortable and the view of the ocean unobstructed. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fireplace on the lower level patio. The staff we dealt with were as helpful as they could be, especially charming and resourceful Andrew who worked with us to get a room that met all our needs and tried to make up for the breakfast staff underperforming. The truly dreadful breakfast is the reason for the 4 stars. My husband will eat anything, and even he couldn't choke down more than half of the "breakfast burrito" (which we had requested NOT to receive). Some cold and desert-dry rubber eggs wrapped in an otherwise empty flour tortilla with not even some salsa. I was told that they would be getting a new cook soon, but I think they should offer a discount on the room if you choose to get something more desirable from a nearby cafe. One other important problem was that Sunny (staff) was not wearing a mask, only a face shield which is well known to provide NO protection for the people around the wearer and little for the wearer. Management should correct this immediately - the virus is deadly and people need to be educated. We loved the French press and the ability to make our own coffee as we like...More
