I am not a big fan of BBQ-saucy pulled pork, and Alder Smokehouse delivers. While the BBQ sauce is available on the side, their pulled pork sauce is an au jus that is absolutely delightful. The meat is not greasey, but moist.
Timing is important here. They are only open 11a-3p, Tuesday-Friday.
Take out is available, as are their smoked turkey, pork and beef.
My favorites are "Cue-Pit" a smoked pulled pork sand, the "Porkorito" almost the same on a giant wrap, the "Bog Gobler" a smoked turkey sand, "The Smokehouse" smoked tri-tip sand, and the "Big Dipper" French Dip. Salads are available with and without the smoked meats. Vegetarian options include the Garden Salad with avocado, and the wraps can be done in lettuce for the gluten-free folk.
