I absolutely loved this area. Beautiful rock formations and gorgeous beach. Take the time to explore this area, you won't regret it.

Climb up the sand dune to the plateau of Cape Kiwanda with incredible views both South and North. Watch the waves crash against the rocks below and spot seals or whales frolicking offshore. Kids will love the sand and rolling down the gentle slope.

When in Pacific City be sure to take the short "walk" or " hike" up the Cape! It is steep but you will be walking in deep, soft sand. A really special experience!
The views are spectacular from all directions. The top is a great spot to watch the whales and surfers down below.

Great checking it out after breakfast on the beach at the Pelican Pub... A super place to catch some photos with a good zoom.

We stop by every time we visit Pacific City. You don't have to be strong to climb this sand dune. If you go to back of the dune, there is switch back, it might be easier than going straight up. There is fence along and don't try to pass, there is reason for that. Few careless hiker lost their lives.
