Nice place close parking but it's really for beginners and young kids as gentle slooos but worst very short runs. But a nice place to work your legs and learn to ski
We spent weekend in hood river and drove up for day of skiing. Nice safe roads but not much traffic so can be a bit scary

Stayed: January 2017, travelled with family

Our ski area here at Cooper Spur is a family type experience, Its a place where mom and dad can relax on our covered deck and watch the kids learn the slopes. ODOT does a great job of keeping the roads safe for travel...
Thanks again for the review, hope to see you soon...

We had out daughters wedding at Cooper Spur. It was absolutely beautiful in the snow. The cabins are rustic and charming. My only complaint is that I could not get our bedroom in the cabin warm during the night. Now granted it was in the low teens, but even with the heater turned up high, the bedroom never got warm. You could see your breath in the room and there were no extra blankets that I could find.

To start, they enabled us to check in extremely early, something close to five hours or so. This helped tremendously because the wedding I was a part of started when the normal check-in time was. The staff in both the office and the restaurant / bar were fantastic. The lady we checked-in with was so friendly, fast, and to-the-point and the lady behind the bar was so sweet and welcoming. The house cleaners were so fast and efficient and extremely friendly as well which was so nice.

And I can't forget to mention the physical appearance and comfortable living it offers either. The individual large cabins were just great, with a spiral staircase and a nice fireplace, it truly made us feel like were were buried in snow, tucked away in the trees in a log cabin. And that wasn't even the type my girlfriend and I stayed in - we stayed in one of the smaller rooms, almost hotel style, except much much nicer. Each with their own little twist, they all felt like a small cabin with wood walls and ceilings - it was fantastic!

After the trip I told many people I would stay here over anywhere else on Mt. Hood. The comforting people, quietness, and beautiful, tucked away location just made it a perfect getaway and represented the beautiful Pacific Northwest just perfect! Thank you all!

Came here twice. The first time they ran our of skis to rent so spent some time inner tubing with the kids (however that was a bit of a disappointment because this is something you could easily do at home). Second day I came skiing. Few people there because of snow and New Year's Day. Therefore no queues but great snow. Only takes 20seconds to come down the slope though with a single lift taking you up. Great for kids to learn.

The rooms in the lodge are beautiful, cozy, and very clean. The staff are friendly and the restaurant serves very good food. We plan to come back in summer and winter. There is a great hot tub area too!
