Tomo Sushi is a fairly new restaurant in the Bethany area in the Portland suburbs. The location is in a strip mall in a spot which I think was previously occupied by another Japanese restaurant. Because of the strip mall setting atmosphere is pretty much non-existent. I suspect that many of their customers opt for takeout anyway, as did I.
The sushi menu is extensive, and the website not only has the menu but also pictures and descriptions of the various Sushi rolls. There is quite a large selection of specialty sushi rolls. Compared to some other sushi places in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area we found this place comparatively inexpensive for the amount of food given, with the sushi being good.
One thing to note is that we have used this place twice for takeout on a Saturday night, and one common theme has been that orders for takeout were not available when promised, resulting in one case in having to wait 15 minutes after the food was supposed to be ready. The waitresses were very apologetic about it, but it turned out that they were at least two takeout orders behind and the chefs were working at a madman's pace to catch up while I was waiting. I want to try this place during the week one day, for the sushi chefs not having to hurry to make the food may make the difference between good and great sushi.
Despite of this issue Tomo Sushi has become the place we go to when we want sushi on short notice.
