Friendship Village Campground
Reviewed 1 August 2017

We only spent one night but it was a nice, clean campground with some very friendly folks. Clean sites and many are pull through sites. My only criticism was that the roads weren't well marked and arriving in the dark was a bit harder than I'd hoped. Still, we'll stay here again.

Stopped her on a Saturday for a one night stop on the way home from Michigan. We had a previous reservation that we had to cancel two days before arrival because of mechanical troubles on the road. We were given a 100% refund because the breakdown "wasn't your fault" even though their policy says no refunds. Because of this great customer service we were determined to patronize them when we did get back on the road.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly staff member who explained all the things we needed to know and given a thorough set of directions to get to our site. The gravel site was long enough to leave our TOAD attached tho our 40 ft motor home. All the hookups (W, S, E, & C) worked well with plenty of water pressure.

The campground is most definitely family orientated with lots of activities, including 2 pools, fishing, and events for all ages. There are lots of roads and trails for walking and biking. Very quiet at night.

Make sure you study the directions to the campground from the PA Turnpike as it is slightly complicated with lots of turns.

We camp at Friendship Village Campground approximately 2 to 3 times every year, and have done so for the last seven years. This campground has become the bar to which we compare all other campgrounds. It is clean, spacious, boasts friendly and courteous staff, and has fantastic features for the whole family. In addition to the pools, miniature golf, fishing, and walking path, the campground has activities almost every weekend for the whole family. For those with children, there's plenty to do in a safe environment. Highly highly highly recommend .

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Located in historic and beautiful Bedford County, Pennsylvania, where we have more covered bridges than stoplights! Life here seems to move at a slower pace, and we like it that way. We're family-oriented, providing activities and games for everyone, so be sure to bring the kids and grandkids along! Our park is "big rig friendly," offering shaded and non-shaded sites, with a variety of pull thru and site hook-ups available. We even have campsites along our lower lake and beside the trout stream. Bedford County offers plenty to do and see, but many guests come here just to relax. You can challenge your companions to a round of miniature golf or a game of laser tag, swim in our 2 pools, play shuffleboard or horseshoes, walk or bike the 1/2 mile track around our 5 acre lake, or paddle a boat on our lower lake. Fishermen will love to test their skills with the bass stocked in our lakes. Everyone is welcome to our Saturday Night "Gospel Sings" held in the old barn. Afterwards, enjoy fresh, popped popcorn made over an open campfire in a large black kettle. We're freeway-close, just two miles off the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Exit 146, but a world away from what you know. Whether you're here just for the night, or plan an extended stay, come see us at Friendship Village Campground and RV Park. ... more   less
