My husband and I drive 35 minutes to get to this restaurant, and it's well worth the trip. This is true Italian cooking at its best. Chef John's use of the simplest and freshest ingredients to create outstanding Italian dishes makes A Taste of Italy the best in the Bloomsburg area. On Saturday night I had the Italian pea soup with pancetta in a tomato broth as my appetizer. One spoonful brought back the tastes and smells of my mother's kitchen. Our entrees were chicken John Karlo and homemade lobster ravioli with shrimp. Both outstanding. Our friends had eggplant parmigiana and tortellini Michaelangelo. Both raved about their meals. Add a Caesar salad and cannoli for dessert, and it's Italian food bliss. Excellent food and excellent service, especially Cindy, Megan, Nikki, and Ken. The best of the best!
