Coming from California we had no idea of what to expect, but upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised. The staff is 10 out of 10. Our room was a king bed with a Spa Tub which was a plus. The Resort is well layed out and convenient to everything the resort has to offer.
A definite must stay for Golf or Skiing.

We were invited to a wedding being held at this property, and stayed 2 nights. We were quite pleased with our stay. The grounds are very nice, and we found all of the staff to be very friendly from the front desk, to housekeeping to the staff at the breakfast buffet.

The lobby looked nice, and rooms seemed to be recently refreshed. An in room safe would be nice to have, and we were in a building without an elevator, which could be a deal breaker for some. Wifi worked well.

The staff did a nice job with the wedding as well as the food served. This property is only about 20 minutes away from Gettysburg, which made for a nice side trip.

Liberty Mountain Resort was the location of our son and daughter-in-law's wedding this past weekend and we were so pleased with every detail. From the start, the bride and groom had a vision of a relaxing, weekend long gathering of family and friends. They searched a variety of locations between Baltimore and Pittsburgh and found the perfect venue in Liberty Mountain. Nicely nestled in the mountains, the resort is beautiful inside with rustic details of wood and stone and the grounds are meticulously maintained. The staff was friendly, helpful, positive and upbeat. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. From the breakfast buffet and lunch in the restaurants to the rehearsal dinner to the wedding reception, the food got rave reviews. The kids enjoyed the two pools, corn hole, volleyball, hanging out at the fire pit and more. There were after party gatherings at the bar and plenty of lounge areas to just sit and relax. Our wedding coordinator Allie was a delight to work with and always had a smile and encouraging words. A fast moving thunderstorm rolled in about 45 minutes before the ceremony. The second the rain stopped, a crew of at least 20 people were wiping down chairs and using blowers to dry the patio so that the outdoor ceremony could still go off without a hitch. We really can not express how pleased we were with the entire weekend from start to finish. It was the absolutely perfect wedding weekend that the bride and groom imagined. Many thanks to the staff at Liberty Mountain Resort!

Had not been back since their major renovations to the lodge. The common areas as well as guest rooms are beautiful. Dining venue was also situated so you could look out on the patio and mountains. Looked around at rooms for meetings or weddings and they were also very inviting. Indoor pool looked perfect to jump into after getting back from skiing and watch the snow fall. This time of year it's pretty quiet. Just have had dinner so far which was fair. Will check out the golf course here today.

Expensive course. Slow play. Snotty starter. Rangers mismanaged slow play. Dinner at the restaurant was terrible (read the one titled train wreck please). Carrol valley is a beautiful place and the mountains are very calming. This resort is mismanaged and highly overpriced. The complex is well done and very pretty. Just don't hold or eat here. Go to the nearby mountain view golf course for gold and the restaurant at the compound entrance for better good and drinks.
