We are neither Catholic or Polish but if you live in this area you have heard of the shrine - usually referred to as "Our Lady". So out of curiosity we went to visit. They were having a large festival with great food and polka music and dancing. It was very impressive and it's obvious this is a very meaningful shrine, even though I am not familiar with the particular history. The setting is lovely and it is beautifully maintained. Would be a meaningful experience for Catholics.

I visited this Shrine with my family back in July. It was very nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the beaten path and just meditate and get back into one's faith. We really enjoyed the life size rosary garden and they have a nice gift shop to browse. And it is free!

This review is about a year tardy.

The Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine (http://www.czestochowa.us/) is one of the most beautiful churches i have ever seen. Originally we where there to attend the yearly Polish American festival that is held on the church grounds. The church is so popular that tour buses frequent the grounds with hundreds of people visiting the church. The church grounds are well landscaped to go along with the beauty of the church. Also on the church grounds is a Polish school and cemetery.

The festival is draws predominantly Polish speaking Poles or Americans but its a lot of fun. There is polish food to taste, beer and Polish entertainment. Expect to stay from 3 to 8 hours.

On one of our visits to Trenton New Jersey to see family we made a day outing to see some sites. We came upon the area around Doylestown, P.A and this magnificent shrine built by the Polish Congregation. It is a site to see whether one is of the Catholic Faith or any other religious affiliation or non-religious. Just a marvellous, peaceful site to visit. It is huge. The stained glass windows are a photoagrphers delight.

Besides this, Doylestown area has much to offer in siteseeing - a number of museums. The Mercer Museum, Fonthaill Museum, Moravian Pottery & Tile Works. It was all totally unexpected to us so we did not have time to take in all there is. One should get tourism information and plan an entire day outing rather than just come about it by luck as we did. Again, the grounds around the museums are terrific for the children and one can picnic if they want.

Highly recommend a day trip to Doylestown area.

There is a cafeteria available at the shrine and acreage galore for the children to run in.
