Buck.As you walk through her pre-1825 Pennsylvania stone farmhouse, you will learn her life history, which began in childhood as a daughter of missionary parents in China and ended as a Pulitzer and Nobel-prize winning author. One of just a few national historic landmarks that uphold a woman's legacy, the intact collection includes the typewriter she used to write The Good Earth. Serene paths lead to her gravesite. Exhibit gallery displays her numerous awards including the Nobel prize. International gift shop on location. Pair a tour with a book discussion. Annual festival of trees, writing workshops and cultural events scheduled year round.

Pearl Bucks home is a beautiful stone house tucked away on many acres in Bucks County. It is beautifully decorated and has a lot of Asian influence due to her work with adopting infants. The Christmas time is particularly impressive with their candlelight tours and the beautiful display of trees. Her adopted daughter teaches elementary school nearby.

Pearl S Buck was a truly great American heroine being an author and pioneer in Amer-Asian relations. A tour of her house tells her story and helps to support her sponsorhsip of underprivileged children. Having won the Pulitzer for her novel, The Good Earth and the Nobel Prize for her humanitarian works, this is one life worth celebrating as an American prize. Take note of their Christmas tour with many decorated trees throughout the house and don't miss the old typewriter on which she penned her treasures. No spell check for her!
