I needed something affordable at the last minute Labour day weekend and pulled in without checking reviews, though we have stayed in a knights inn before so were'nt under any illusions about standards. The outside needs a good sweep and paint, or the whole place demolishing and rebuilding, it is getting to 'end of life'. However, the room inside was clean, the linen was clean and the beds comfortable, the bathroom was clean and there was an iron/board, fridge and microwave. Wifi was iffy and the pool shut. The aircon wasnt too noisy, but it couldnt fully cope with the 88 degrees outside either.

Weary from a day of fishing on Lake Erie, we pulled into Knights Inn hoping for a night of rest. As we pulled our two trucks and boats into the parking lot, the residents of the place all came out to take a look and see what we might have to steal. In fear of robbery, we pulled the motor off our boat and kept it in the room with us. After the pizza delivery guy told us he had been robbed at gunpoint the night before, we decided to take shifts watching our vehicles in the parking lot. What a show! Prostitutes, drug deals, a seven year old kid begging us for smokes. this place had it all! Thankfully it poured the rain all night keeping any would-be thieves at bay. The rooms were dirty and smelled of stale cigarettes, but that was the least of our worries. Just pay the extra money to stay somewhere else. Really, you will thank me later!

WORST hotel stay to date. Only reason we stayed was because my travel mate's GPS pointed us here after she navigated us a half hour past the hotel I had selected. Being desperate for sleep still didn't help. Broken glass on the walkways, stains on the wallpaper, holes on the sheets, and a general musty, moldy odour in the non-smoking room were just some of the reasons that I recommend you go anywhere else, even if desperate for sleep.

I have stayed here several times in the past decade. Decline has reached the point that demolition is only fix. Could be symtomatic of downtown Erie. Yes location was convenient to walk to Beer on the Bay,which is why we came to Erie. Pet Friendly but was fearful leaving pets in room. Some people seemed to be guests while others seemed to living there with children. Left as early as possible.
