My wife and I took the day off from work and had lunch at the Eagle today. We have eaten here many times and never had a bad experience or meal. It's not much in the visual appeal department but those are usually the best places. It's Friday which means crab soup. This is the best creamy crab soup anywhere including the east coast beaches. Chunks of crab with a thick texture and mild sweetness to the taste. They only serve it on Fridays so get there early because when it gone its gone until the following Friday. The Greek salad with chicken was perfect. Home made Greek dressing. Get the small unless your a big eater. My wife got the Caesar Salad with chicken. She must have ordered the large because it was huge. Both salads had fresh lettuce and vegetables. Not sure where the other reviewers are used to eating but the prices are what you'd find at other similar places but the food and portions are much better at the Eagle.

You must ask for the Eagle's newly created signature Covfefe Martini: cointreau, vodka, blue caracoa, raspberry liquor, and cranberry. Delightful in a martini glass!

We went here to try out the wings, we heard they we award winning wings. And yes they are very good. However our drinks. We ordered a double margarita....$17.00. A shot of tequila was $9.50. This was for Lunazul which is 17.99 a bottle. They charged us for Patron which is 50.00 per bottle. It was our first and now only visit to this restaurant. The service was fair but not outstanding.

Make a reservation or go early, not a lot of seating and it gets busy. Friday's they have cream of crab soup, $5.99, it was good, nice hunks of crab meat. Also had the crab grilled cheese with bacon, $11.99, and would highly recommend it. It was served up with a huge pile of crispy and tasty waffle fries. My husband had the cod sandwich, $8.99, and he was hoping it would be bigger. My Long Island iced tea was $8.50 and his draft was $3.50, I think I'll just have a beer next time. We had a nice little basket of battered onion rings for $4.99 they were pretty good and had a nice dipping sauce. We definitely will go back and be mindful of mixed drink prices. Our server, was Debra, she was pleasant.

The food is pretty much "standard American" but executed well. There is a selection of a half dozen or so draft beers to go with the food and the ambiance is as cozy as Linglestown.
