We reserved a table for 4 but didn't really need to as the dining area was only half full which is such a shame! I never went to the old location but I saw it from the outside and the move was much needed, the restaurant was well decorated and had a lovely atmosphere. Had Sushi and Gyoza (Dumplings) to start and various kinds of noodles for main, fantastic quality and truly authentic. But the star of the show is the lovely waiter(/manager?), gave some recommendations on what to try and was really attentive and funny too. Really hope that this place does well in its new location. Better than a Chinese take-away, a must try!

Very disappointed. Really slow service and the waitress didn't seem to understand us or have half of what was offered on the drinks menu. The food menu didn't give an idea to what it was and when we asked we only got a vague description - that's prawns, beef, etc. Waitress kept disappearing for ages at a time and didn't seem to care less about our custom. We came so close to walking out!
Had the chicken toast which was deep fried and smothered in mayonnaise - blergh!. Also had Japanese prawn curry which was plain rice with a curry gravy and breadcrumbed and deep fried prawns. Curry sauce was boring and prawns weren't seasoned so bland and disappointing. With everything being deep fried I felt ill afterwards and couldn't finish the meal. Waitress asked if everything was ok and I said I wasn't expecting the curry meat to be deep fried - she said "It's Japanese curry" like we should know that (though hadn't told us that when we asked what different things were).

The Unicorn has just moved into the West End Pub in Melksham, the surrounding are much better.
The food is still amazing. tasted and look brilliant, such a variety to choose from and the service is always friendly and a warm welcome awaits every time. Cooked to how you like it as well, if you like hot food or not you can say and it will be altered.
Well worth a visit

Had a lovely meal for my son's birthday. We were made very welcome, staff most attentive. Food superb. So full had to take the rest home. They even bought out a birthday cake for my son that we weren't expecting.
