This is an award winning Fish and Chip shop , excellent food and service.
You may have to que and its a busy place .
The only draw back is the opening times , lunch time and early evening , so check before you go.
Bought fish and chips whilst on vacation. Despite staying 15 minutes drive away, our food was still piping hot with crispy battered fish and delicious chips by the time we got it back to our accommodation. Pleasant and professional staff. Food nicely packaged. Overall great fish and chips at a reasonable price. Only negative was they forgot to put my little boys battered sausage in the order but couldn't be bothered to drive 15 minutes back to the shop. Maybe we'll get a free one next time??
Ate fish and chips here last weekend during trip to Cornwall. My wife and I had haddock and chips and daughter had child's cod and chips. All the fish was perfectly cooked in crispy batter, and the chips were fantastic too. Great service and all very reasonably priced. Highly recommended, and pity it was closed on Sunday and Monday.
Had heard really good things about the fish and chip shop, so had very high expectations. Unfortunately our meals didn't meet expectations. I know fish and chips are greasy, but we had never had f&c that were as greasy as these were. I thought the establishment was quite expensive too, but as it's the only one in the village I guess it's a sellers market.
To be fair they were really busy and there didn't appear to be many staff so it could well have just been bad timing on our part. We will give them the benefit of the doubt when we visit again next year, and hope for a better experience.
