“Stunning area of natural beauty”

A footpath opposite the car park leads you towards the Golitha Falls.
It is very uneven underfoot so may not suit everyone and certainly wouldn’t be buggy friendly.
Due to the amount of water around, particularly this time of year, it can be very muddy so good walking boots or wellies are recommended.
The area is stunning, green and verdant, moss & lichen covering almost every tree trunk & branch.
The sound of the water is captivating, often drowning out the birdsong.
Walk as far as you can as it gets better & better. There is a rope swing some way down with the tiniest of beaches.
It really is a beautiful place to visit.

Lovely stroll across the stream. Follow the path into a nice woodland area. Peace and quiet. Just wonderful

Lots of interesting pathways and channels for the Fowey River to take - and great fun for young kids - only one comment - all the dog-sized throwable sticks have already been thrown in the river

The dogs thoroughly enjoyed exploring the stream and falls. Very pretty, not the most exciting falls, but a nice easy walk alongside a pretty river.

If you're in this part of Cornwall you must visit Golitha Falls. You'll need a decent pair of well gripped shoes that you don't mind getting caked in mud. There are some faint paths but there's a little bit of clambering up and down rocky paths and tree stumps so you need to be sure footed, but after 10 minutes you are in a different world surrounding by beautiful landscape and gushing water. It's so worth the mud and it's a great bit of exercise. Once you're done you can dry off at Inkies BBQ smokehouse located in the car park which a drink and a delicious burger.
