Visited whilst on holiday, had been walking on the moors, came across this little gem when looking for a light lunch....4 of us plus one little dog sat in the warm, cosy bar. The staff was friendly, the service & food was good, reasonably priced... Would certainly visit again if in the area.

Having spent the day out and about my woife and I felt then eed for a cool drink and bite to eat. Usual holiday rules applied, whatever we came across next that served food and a cold beer/cider was to be the one. Hnce we found ourselves at the Cheewring Hotel.
Very polite and welcoming bar staff, confirmed what was available to eat as it was gone 2pm. Easy really a pint and a half of local cider with one Cheese and one Ham Ploughmans (we shared the ham and cheese between us!).
Freshly prepared salad bits, good quality thick cut ham and a tasty local cheese, plently of butter and the only downside (minor!) was a baguette rather than some locally baked bread. It was all in all actually very pleasant as we sat out in the sun and recoupedoutr strength for th next pahse. . . .
