Unfortunately when we visited the owner and main chef was away and no curries on offer despite this being the main attraction instead only a few fish options on the menu, this should have been a warning sign. All it would have taken was a phone call and we would have postponed out visit. Customer service during our visit was terrible, no atmosphere. The food was the worst food I have tasted in a restaurant, chips and peas cold and none of our party enjoyed the experience. No reply to our letter of disappointment. I am not a negative person but this meal was beyond terrible. Think twice before visiting.

We recently visited for a meal with 8 of us for a birthday. We had a lovely time. The woman and man who work there are incredibly friendly. We felt the food was good and great value. For example, I had three soft drinks, chicken korma, chips, poppadom and a naan for around £20.

Only a two down points:
- Couldn't split the bill separately, this might be rectified now, meaning one person in the party had to pay
- Service seemed a bit muddled and slow, but may have been because there was a few of us

Thank you! Hopefully be back soon.

We were in a party of two VW camper vans, late on a very wet and windy Saturday evening. We were looking for a place to camp. I called the Colliford Tavern and within a matter of moments Chris (member of the Colliford Tavern staff) had organised a couple of pitches for us on hard standing close to the shower and loo block. We enjoyed a super meal and great local ale in very comfortable surroundings. The owners and staff couldn't have been more hospitable. I recommend the campsite facilities, the pub and the restaurant. We look forward to coming back and staying here again to discover Colliford Lake and Bodmin moor.
