Wonderful restaurant...amazing food, great service, fab prices, lovely ambience, I cant fault the cooking, its all just great and I wouls go more often if only one thing was better..the parking....which is in a public car park across the road. Fantastic if there is room, but on one occasion having booked a table we nearly didnt make dinner as tere was no where to park...its fine out of season, but I just dont visit in season as the parking is a total nightmare..not sure much can be done about it either, there is no off road parking...but just warning you....the best food in the area, if you canpark the car!!!,

One of the best meals we have had for a long time. Lovely venue and a warm welcome. We opted for the steak night offer after a recommendation by a friend. The steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare, and was so tasty and tender. Two steaks and a very good Malbec Merlot for £40. The puddings were excellent too. Blood Orange Posset and white chocolate
panacotta.. Service was first class too.

Although we live locally this was only our second visit and once again we really enjoyed our food. Friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere full of character, and the food was great. The slow cooked pork belly was excellent and the roast duck perfectly cooked, Adam, the chef, popped over for a brief chat; nice touch. We will definitely be visiting again, I would have no hesitation in recommended 'The Old Mill Bistro' for an enjoyable dining experience.

The restaurant is situated in a very old Millhouse with a idyllic stream running by. The dining room is very homely and intimate with gorgeous flagstone flooring. The staff was extremely attentive with Adam, the head chef, visiting the table twice but was not intrusive. The food was sublime, and I cannot recall anything tasting so good in a long time. The food is fresh and locally sourced. Highly recommend the garlic mushroom and Chorizo starter.
I was even supplied with a birthday surprise dish when they found out!
This is a dining out experience that will definitely not disappoint 10/10.

This place just keeps getting better! The food is better than than many famous chef restaurants. e.g. Marco Pierre White in Plymouth, and Jamie Oliver in Oxford.
The chef is self taught, passionate about the food that he cooks, and very good!
Make sure you book as they are very popular!
It's not just a Bistro - We stayed here as guests of their bed and breakfast for a couple of nights at the beginning of Dec. We had sherry in the rooms, a Christmas tree, a present, chocolate, and fresh milk for the tea/coffee/chocolate.The breakfast is also very good, the rooms are lovely and the owners and staff are very friendly too. highly recommended :-)
