Value for money food, very large portions and extensive menu. The Early Bird menu is fantastic, two for price of one, Monday’s to Friday’s between certain times.

Thank Michelle M

Have eaten here before, this time chose the vegetarian chickpea curry, I can honestly say it was the worst meal i have ever eaten out. It looked unappealing a bit like pureed baby food and it was tasteless. Very disappointed.

A large pub but the place was empty, down at heel, cold and uninviting. The food took a long time to arrive and was poor quality. The beer was reasonable. We were glad to leave - will not return. Very disappointing.

Disappointing.
We visited the White Pyramid on the recommendation of a friend.
The pub was not overly warm, though we did sit near the door. Perhaps it was warmer in the section nearer the bar.
Service was reasonable, with the exception of a male waiter, who was not the landlord, but who seemed to be the senior staff member present, who gave the impression of having insufficient training in waiting.
Our roast lunch was pretty good - nice meat, excellent roasties, though the sprouts were strangely flavourless.
Where the meal fell down was on the dessert. My husband and I both ordered lemon sponge, which was dry and didn't taste at all of lemon. It seriously felt as if it was leftovers, which had been prettified with a sprinkling of icing sugar round the plate.
When we went to the bar to pay our bill, we told the waiter we had found the dessert disappointing. He simply said he was sorry about that and proceeded to draw up the bill. We were horrified to see we had been charged £5.50 each for a dish of stale sponge. There was no genuine apology, simply a set piece script about seeing us next time. Which the White Pyramid won't!
I have made an overall rating of average on the strength of the roast, but in other aspects the experience was poor. £37.10 seems a lot to pay for two roasts, one pint of beer, one soft drink, and two stale desserts.
