We have found our ideal bnb and don't want anyone else to know about it but that wouldn't be fair to Susan and Geoff who have set up a fabulous guest house. Nothing was too much trouble and they gave us some useful information not so easily found on the tourist circuit.

We stayed here recently on our walk around the South West Coastal Footpath. Sue and Geoff were great hosts with freshly made cake and tea to welcome us served in the most beautiful Drawing room. Our room had a fantastic view of the Lizard and its lighthouse and was extremely comfortable. Our breakfast was in another lovely room and set us up for another days walking. I would highly recommend this Guesthouse for a comfortable, welcoming, beautifully decorated stay with extra touches like games and Poldark colouring books!

Room Tip: See if you can get a sea view room

I stayed here with my son at the end of a week walking the Coast Path.
The best of the B&B's we had stayed in all week.
A lovely welcome from both Sue & Geoff after a very wet days walking. We showered and changed and then were presented with warm Scones, Jam and Clotted Cream with endless tea. We relaxed immediately and felt very welcome.
The room was lovely with a great view of the Lighthouse. Very comfortable, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed and good shower in the ensuite bathroom.
A short walk in to the village for a choice of eateries in the evening.
Breakfast was comprehensive and delicious.
I would highly recommend Penmenner House and I am sure we will return.

Stayed here at penmenner for 4 wonderful nights Geoff and sue were fantastic hosts. The house has been beautifully decorated and great attention to detail . We stayed in the lighthouse room with a sitting area with fantastic views from sitting room and bathroom also beautiful views across to the lighthouse from our very comfortable bed. Everywhere was spotless. The breakfast was lovely and freshly prepared fruit salad and cereals to choose as well as homemade bread and cooked breakfasts juices and tea and coffee. The lounge area downstairs was again very well thought out a lovely fireplace which in the winter had a log burner there were games to play and plenty of reading material. On arrival we were offered tea and cake in the lounge which was very welcoming. It takes about 4 mins to walk down into the village there are two pubs in the village . There are plenty of lovely walks and you can walk to the light house across the fields or down pistol meadow which is by penmenner house. The house was built in 1860. There has been a lot of thought and effort put into the B and B since Geoff and sue have been in it and only since last year ,it has come along way since I remember staying in it as a child. I will definitely be coming back to stay again at the lizard and definitely at penmenner I will definitely recommend anyone to staying at penmenner I cannot praise it enough.
