Dined with another couple on Saturday night and we all agreed this is a keeper. Our server Wylie was outstanding and enhanced what the kitchen did very well. A seasonal salad of spring mix with blueberries, peaches and almonds in a vinagrette was fresh and so flavorful. Two of us had the pan seared scallop special which was perfection. The cavetelli with crabmeat and chorizo was a gastro delight. It is a byob and you definitely need a reservation.

Small restaurant. Definitely need to make a reservation in advance. There is wheelchair access. We ordered for the table a couple of the flatbreads - mushrooms with arugula. They add to the menu whatever is in season. So figs and blueberries. They brought us black mission figs with manchego cheese. Everything was delicious - some had scallops with risotto, we shared blueberry and fig arugula salad with fresh chèvre; then for dinner, crispy skin duck breast with goat cheese polenta and garlic green beans - fantastic! This is a BYOB restaurant. Our children and grandson brought wine. We enjoyed an Italian lemon spritzer and iced Moroccan mint tea. We all passed on any number of good desserts. Service was impeccable.

The first sign of trouble was a reservation that seemed to be taken by the dishwasher amongst lots of clatter. Our server was attentive and inserted himself into our conversation at the start. Once our order was taken, he disappeared. We watched as others were served amuse Bouche and bread. We had none. Enjoyed the scallop entree, crab cakes and barramundi. Cheese plate was very nice. We asked to have one dinner wrapped up, but it disappeared and never came back. Desserts were good.
Unfortunately, the prices do not justify the lackluster spotty service.

My book club stopped in for lunch after a trip to the Brandywine River Museum of Art. The staff was wonderful, the decor was charming and the food was unbelievably good. 3 of us ordered the Chef's lunch special and were pleasantly surprised that they allowed us to make substitutions from the daily specials. The chef sent out the mushroom flatbread, on the house. It's an absolute must try! The manager came to chat with us and gave us some background about the establishment and the building. Everyone was friendly and our server was wonderful. This place is a gem! I look forward to a return trip next time I am in the area.

Walked in without a reservation, promptly seated. Nice menu. Dinner was good. Service was basically good, however our server was not familiar with proper wine service. The establishment is a BYOB and we took advantage of the head servers suggestion to use the wine store one block over.
I give a four out of five for the food and a three out of five for the service. I'm going to try it again and request to sit further in the restaurant to experience the atmosphere on a busier night. Hang tight for a second review in about two months.
