I am not from the area and picked this hotel as it was on the way to our end destination. I was aware that the hotel had ongoing renovation/construction when we stayed. The room we stayed in was a little tired but was clean (we stayed on the 3rd floor). I requested an upper floor and was told construction was on 2nd and 4th floor and if I really wanted to stay in between. We were leaving before construction started so it was fine. The walls/doors are thin as I did hear people late at night, but that is no different.
The toilet paper holder fell off the wall. This is a minor issue but could be symptomatic of attention to detail.
The TV had no GUIDE function to see all the shows currently playing so we had to manually change channels. After a long day of driving this was surprisingly frustrating as I just wanted to find a show to unwind to and it took an awfully long time to settle.
We had breakfast which was decent - cooked to order omelettes were good. The staff was courteous.
The lobby was well-appointed bordering, clean and classy. Hopefully the renovated rooms will mirror the lobby feel when it is completed.
Overall it was an average stay and reasonable, but nothing stood out to make the hotel rate higher although the potential is there.More
