Walked in early evening on a Saturday without reservations - which is not advised. Put name in for a 'high top' at the bar and only had to wait 20 minutes.
Service was wonderful and the food delicious.

Ordered Wood Roasted Cauliflower: calabrian chili & pistachio pesto, crispy breadcrumbs - perfectly seasoned.
Margherita Pizza: crushed san marzano tomato, buffalo mozzarella, basil, EVOO - to die for! Not sure if it's the crust or the fresh basil that makes this one of the best pizzas
Tagliatelle Bolognese: egg pasta, classico ragù bolognese, grana padano cheese - delicious with homemade pasta, and Wood Roasted Chicken: winter vegetables panzanella salad, sherry-roasted shallot vinaigrette - crispy skin and moist chicken.

Loved the ambiance - rustic Italian, Neighborhood chic. If you want to be sure to get a seat make reservations way in advance. We'll be back for sure!

First off, it took us three times to even nab a reservation so maybe our expectations were high. But there was a lot to like and dislike about Luca’s. First, we ordered the grilled artichokes. Find some that at least have a little meat at the bottom of the leaves. I’m talking nada. The only meat was literally in the stalk. Then there is no bread offered. Three of us ordered pasta dishes. They were all uniformly excellent but small. Like tapas small. Thank heavens the fourth in our party ordered a pizza or we would all have gone hungry. We also ordered bread pudding for dessert but the edges were burnt. (BTW, we noticed the neighbor table also had burnt edges on their pizzas). The wine was also expensive for the paltry pour you got.
Final vote, not a good value for the money.

Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff was very friendly and made sure they recognized her special evening. Our server Emilee was awesome, very knowledgeable of the menu and specials and very fun to interact with. The meal was by far the best meal we ever had in the Lancaster area and was right up there with a meal we had from a highly regarded restaurant and chef in Austin TX. We will visit again and highly recommend checking this place out.

We have dined here over 5 times and it is a favorite of my wife, yet not mine. 1st off parking is a nightmare. Streets are restricted and the onsite lot is way too small. The hard surfaces inside make it very noisy and the high tables must be shared. I get why the reviews are good--it is similar to many big city restaurants with very unusual ingredients most of which I have not heard of. We have always had good service though and the bar staff is good. Just too much aggravation for pizza.

I have given up on Luca. As most reviews point out it is a very cool energetic atmosphere. The problem my family has with Luca is the inconsistency of their food quality. We have probably eaten at Luca over 10 times hoping every time is going to be better. Every time we arrive and are happy with the cocktail selection and the bar overall; going just for the amaro tasting is worth it. The problem start when the food arrives. Usually one dish out of six is good and what we expect, the other times the dish is over salted, over garlic flavored or just not fitting the traditional Italian preparation matched to the name. The last couple times the attitude of the hostess has been a bit uppity, we are just a little too good for you. The place just isn't worth the hype.
