I rely on tripadvisor to help me plan my trip. Viewing the critique of Hotel Fauchere was
accurate. This is a lovely hotel in the center of town. The staff attends to your every need and
goes above and beyond to make your stay the best. We really appreciated that they allow
dogs. Even our pet got the royal treatment!! Highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Fauchere last weekend for a quick getaway from New York. We brought our dog along for the journey as well. I can't say enough good things about the property, the food and the staff who couldn't have been more welcoming (especially of our dog). It's a great spot and very convenient. The food is amazing too. Highly recommend.

My mom and I stayed at the Hotel Fauchere for a girls getaway weekend using a SniqueAway deal. We stayed in a deluxe (corner) room. The hotel is beautifully decorated and well maintained. Our room was large and included a queen bed, two walls with big windows to let in plenty of light, and a large bathroom including a clawfoot tub/shower. The room also included extra amenities, such as a Nespresso coffee maker, free large bottle of water, and a corkscrew. My only complaint about the room would be that as the shower is part of the tub, the water floods part of the bathroom.

We enjoyed sitting on the front porch for breakfast each morning, and for wine in the evenings. We also enjoyed spending time in both the conservatory room and garden out back. Bar Louis was incredible - amazing service, great cocktails, and the best grilled scallops I have ever had! Such a great experience.

My favorite aspect of the hotel were the very thoughtful extras that were included throughout the stay. Upon arrival, we each received a glass of wine, along with a quick tour of the hotel and our room. We were provided a folder that included brochures of the historical and natural attractions in the area, postcards of the hotel, and plenty of stationery. Guests of the hotel receive priority reservations at both the Delmonico Room and Bar Louis. Each night upon returning to the room, on the pillow there was a bookmark with photos of the hotel (a different bookmark provided each night) and a typed note with the weather the following day, and an offer for complimentary cookies, milk, and a printed bedtime story. We took advantage of this both nights - cookies were excellent and you can choose between whole, raw, or skim milk. The printed "bedtime stories" were different each night and included a summary about a brewery in the area, and one about Gifford Pinchot. Such a nice unique thought! Upon checkout, we were provided with two bottles of water, and a bag of homemade granola for the ride home. All of these little additional touches really made the hotel stay something special.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 10 - a large corner room. The room directly below us had a beautiful terrace - if possible, I would definitely request that room next time!

Stayed at the Fauchere at the end of our week touring the Poconos and New York state. Wonderful attentive staff and a first class hotel. Nice touches like turn down service with cookies and milk at the end of the day and complimentary glass of wine when we arrived. Breakfast was superb with the home made sausage a 'must' and Bar Louis great for after dinner drinks.

nice rooms, extremely friendly staff. Milford is a very small but cute town. a nice place to spend a weekend away from New York City. Bar Louis is a nice place to have a few drinks. The food is ok but perhaps we are spoiled living in New York.
