Let me get this part out of the way. I love Sopranos. There, I said it.
Tucked away in a tiny row of shops that together couldn't qualify as a strip mall, you'll find Sopranos. You may get lucky and be able to park on the street, but more likely you'll have to go around back and across the street to a big stone parking lot. Once inside you'll see that they have decorated this small space with rustic shutters and paintings of Italy and Italians. There's usually opera playing in the background and it feels like a mom and pop operation. The friendly staff will seat you at plain tables on banquet chairs. You'll find a paper napkin rolled around your flatware, and your drinks will come in red plastic cups. This is a very simple, small town restaurant with no frills.
So here's the good part: The menu.
I've eaten at Sopranos a dozen times and ordered something different each time, and without fail each thing that I've tasted has been fantastic. Salads are fresh and cold. Pasta is cooked perfectly and topped with freshly made sauces and generous meats. Garlic bread is made to order and comes out hot and steamy. I've also gotten a few pizzas to go, including "the works," which is heavy with toppings, and they are definitely crowd pleasers. Everyone wants to know where they came from.
The drinks are a bit sparse, however they are BYOB so, problem solved.
So pick out a nice wine and have a seat at Sopranos. It's quick, fresh, delicious Italian food at good prices. Come for lunch. It's not terribly busy and you can usually fit it into your break. Come for dinner (and bring that bottle) and you may have to wait for a short time, but trust me, it's worth waiting for.
