I agree with a previous reviewer A Daimond in the rough. Best food!!!! During the summer months we love to order and grab a table outside and enjoy our food and watch all the activity going on around us. When I dont have time to stop and eat I'll order a container of their home-made sauce and bread to go. Authentic italian food

After having a coffee at La Prima Expresso Company then walk thru the connecting doors and have a slice of pizza or pasta or a pastry. You can't beat the prices! Enjoy

Best food ever!!! I go here all the time. Best best beans and greens ever!!!!! Ciabatta bread is incredible!! Great sauce. This place is literally a hole in the wall. Brought my friends here to try it out... Told them we might have to stand to eat (there are only 2 tables inside) well we did. I can tell you there was no talking once they started to eat. I said isn't this food great..they responded with a nod...lol . I like to ride my bike here when the weather permits. I sit outside (there are tables outside) and enjoy my food along with all the Italian men chatting it up with each other in their broken English...a must try!! After you eat..try an almond pastry..I forget the name of them..but they are great!!
This place is in the strip district pittsburgh pa.

On a recent visit to Pittsburgh we decided on a jaunt to the city's strip district to stock up on goodies from the various vendors. We stumbled upon this amazing place nestled on a side street between La Primo Espresso and the popcorn store. What a find!!the array of amazing pizzas are a sight to behold. Thick slices with an amazing tomato sauce-pepperoni,artichoke, green olive, white and my favorite: tomato basil to name a few. I had a slice for breakfast .WOW! You can have it room temperature or ask to have it heated .There is a daily menu with pasta specialty and soups. All homemade . The pastries are truly great and authentic Italian. This is a standup at high top table to eat or hope to snag an outdoor seat. Staff was super friendly.

The pastries are very good, - bought them two weeks in a row. The staff was very nice and pleasant..
Plan to try the pizza next time I go to the strip.
