I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Black Powder Tavern. I was staying at a hotel not too far away and decided to get out. The building is very nice, just off 202 and easy to get to. There is ample parking right outside. The restaurant has a dining area slightly separated from a bar area with high tops and bar stools. The bar area maintains a theme of wood and leather. There is also a function room and a small courtyard for outside dining. The bar area also has 2 TVs to catch your favorite sports. The menu offers a good selection of American food. I chose the planked Salmon and was not disappointed. There is a good selection of draft beer and a large selection of craft beers, mainly IPAs. They also have a fully stocked bar for any other choices that you may have. Service was very good.
This is just a great restaurant.
