Our server was Peter and he did a fine job. He was there when needed and was courteous.
Food was wonderful and plentiful. Really hit the spot.
You won't go wrong if looking for seafood here in York PA.
A bit loud for my liking and tables a bit close together for me but, we'll will be back.
I understand the Bar feel to things and everyone there was in the Saturday night spirit. Just hard to hold conversation with each other sitting next to the bar.
Fine dining with a bar atmosphere witch works for most. Just haven't been in that setting in a while. We can't get out as often as when younger.
The manager stopped by all tables to see how things were without being overwhelming. Very nice and thoughtful.
You won't go wrong here.

It was St. Patrick’s Day and this restaurant is downtown York. Lot’s of people coming from the parade, so it was packed at the bar. We were seated right away as we had reservation for 4. The waitress was outstanding. If you are going to eat at this restaurant stick to the oysters. We had Oyster Stew was great. The problem was we were just starting to eat the stew and they brought the main courses out. So, we sent them back and the waitress was very upset about it. She had the owner come over to talk to us and we advised did not want the same food to come out. He said that would not happen. One person had the fish and it was dry and not worth the $. The French fries were cold and uneatable. The clams were bad. They sent me out clams and I order oyster. Our waitress said it was her fault and brought me the oyster. The oysters were excellent as not over breaded, very hot and large. The only thing again to eat is the oyster avoid the rest.

Rockfish is a great place to meet friends for appetizers and cocktails. The atmosphere is inviting and warm. Great drinks and raw shellfish make for a great spot in York, PA.

We eat here about every two weeks and the food and service are always the best. Happy Hour appetizers from 4-6pm are extremely good. Depending on how many you devour you might not even want dinner. The rockfish tacos are perfect and the Grouper entrée with a salad is as good as I've had anywhere in the country. Friday and Saturdays are very crowded so call for a reservation several days in advance. Parking is a slight problem but not a major drawback. The crowd is loud but the food is so good it doesn't matter.
