Clean and quiet but unattractive room featuring decor from possibly the 1980's, torn fabric on armchair. Very loud air conditioning unit likely to be quite old, as the newer ones are not so noisy. No newspapers, even for sale, no smiles or greetings by staff in the reception area. Breakfast of basic items, but very low quality including the coffee, yoghurt, bread. Location is OK, short drive to downtown Newport. Other nearby motels shared a shuttle van to town for guests, this one did not participate. Stayed there to avoid very high prices in Newport, but will not do so again. Check out other nearby motels, or save up and spring for a place in town (we were there for one of the music festivals, when by the way, this Travelodge doubled its prices)
Room was OK. Bathroom light not working and not fixed over 2 days after reporting it multiple times. Bathroom above us leaking down thru ceiling into our bathroom. Wouldn't go back.
Room was very clean and comfy. Bathtub faucet had a leak that dripped all night. Other than that, no complaints about the room. The breakfast room was a bit small, and got a bit crowded. We enjoyed the pool very much!
Very old place but was clean. Seemed sold out. Didn't hear any noises from the rooms attached to us. Breakfast was free. Very basic. Nothing to brag about. Way over priced but a lot cheaper than the brand name places. I would stay again if I was in the area.
The first room that we were given had bed bugs the clerk gave us a new room upon inspection of 2nd room that room was clear. By the 3rd night we were infested with ants. The bathtub had a hole in and a dead bug was smashed on the wall. It was brought to the attention of the clerk upon check out and nothing was done. Not impressed with the rooms but the check in clerk was great
