HARD mattress- couldn't roll over, Wooden Shutters on windows- NO curtains, Electric outlets- only SOME were 3 prong & NOT every outlet worked, PINK tiles in bathroom, NO hairdryer, Bathtub had memory foam underneath- every step in it SANK down, Plastic Key Card worked every 100 or so tries, NO ONE at front desk after 10PM- note on door advised if you had trouble getting into your room after 10PM you were ON YOUR OWN. There were no nearby restaurants open for Supper- the closest ones miles away in next town & expensive - $12 for a 10" gourmet cheese pizza and another restaurant was by Reservation only. This seaside town had NOTHING going for it, many empty shop windows, no entertainment/activities to warrant this total RIP OFF!! Drove to Middletown, RI the next day & had a nice, clean, well located popular chain hotel for less than $100.

Room Tip: DON'T book here !!!

We never like to hear when a customer has a bad experience, and certainly, one that we could not take care of while they were here. We always address all customer complaints as soon as possible.

We do have trouble with some of our "card keys", from time to time. However, even though our Lobby does close at 10:00 p.m., NOWHERE is is it stated after that time, that "you are on your own"! Posted on all the Lobby doors and in the rooms it clearly states for any emergencies after the Lobby closes to please call a certain number. Someone lives on the property and can assist you within minutes.

This is a small town, so we have about 6 restaurants within 5 minutes. Most close at 10:00 pm. A couple are open until 11:00 pm.. If you traveled over to Newport or Narraganset, which are about 15 minutes away they both have places open until midnight. As far as entertainment, it gets no better than Newport. If you have stopped by the Lobby, we could have given you maps and information on where and what to do in the area.

As far as your room, if you had let us know there was a problem with your room, we could have moved you, (even if you were a late arrival). We cannot fix anything we do not know anything about.

I wish we could have made your stay a better one. However, I hope you still enjoyed you stay in Rhode Island.

Saw this inn on line...it looks awesome...well pictures were deceiving...to me almost fake. Doors didn't lock properly, windows didn't close or lock, cobwebs, dirty, magazine stuck to table. When we complained the manager was rude. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau.

It looks very impressive from the outside but the room we had was poor value for what we paid. Yes it was clean but spartan with very little toiletries provided. There was a very squeaky floor section near the chest of drawers that must have annoyed the neighbours every time we stood on it.
The room lighting seemed to have some wiring issues as lights didnt always switch on and then suddenly came on unexpectedly. However the biggest gripe was the poor wifi. Reception in the room was dismal and the connection kept dropping out. You could get a signal sitting outside the room but that is not always practical or acceptable. When reporting the wifi issue to reception they were defensive and dismissive of the issue. On a positive front, the breakfast at the adjacent restaurant was very good and excellent service but it was not that busy anyway.

Pleasant find at the last moment. Upon pulling in the charm of this lovely inn was a throw back to the 60's to me. I asked the young lady as I registered if the Inn was family owned. The woman replied her father built the place and she grew up here. Now her daughter runs the motel and restaurant on the property. The new rooms were spacious, quaint and excellent beds. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning. Support local businesses they built American.

This is a very nice facility....certainly adequate for my needs. It was clean, very convenient to my destination and major roads and other services and the desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The convenience of the restaurant next door was wonderful.
