Loved our stay this week! The location of the hotel is perfect to do everything in downtown Charleston. The staff is unbelievably friendly, especially the doorman Marcus, our daughter described him as “a very colorful t shirt!” He was always cheerful and helpful. And the beds are the most comfortable hotel mattresses ever! All together a great time.

Rooms are very nice and clean..Bathrooms updated and big. Nice views from windows. Need new sofa bed. Air is best we have ever had in Charleston. Great location near shops, market and downtown. We always go to Fleet Landing and can walk.

The place is just special. Its location, history and charm cannot really be duplicated. The staff is as friendly as can be. Very genuine and caring. The furnishings and art give you that unique and ancient feel you need to keep you in the mood for the history of the surroundings. Its an experience rather than just a place to stay. You'll look forward to coming and going actually. Get yourself a Planters Bear to take home by the way.

Planters Inn is a lovely Inn right on Market Street in the heart of Charleston, a wellspring of reimagined Southern cuisine and culture. The inn features small touches such as light afternoon tea and cookies, hand towels in the lobby and friendly service. The rooms have individual décor and charm. Only issue is that because the building is old, you can hear ambient noise from the hallway and floor above. The A/C is also a bit noisy. But if you don't mind it, the Planter's Inn is a lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: Avoid room 101, as it is steps away from the front desk, and can reflect a lot of noise.
