As everyone else says, it's all about "location, location, location", and this hotel's location is ideal. There is a nice courtyard which was featuring a complimentary oyster bar the night we stayed. The employees were friendly and helpful. The only negatives were the strong perfumy scent in the lobby area, and the fact that neither hotel bar had certain popular liqueurs in stock. Overall, a very nice hotel - but the cost of the room was high enough that we would have to choose another hotel on our next visit to Charleston.

One night stop over to site see. This hotel was perfectly located, a convenient parking structure behind ( you pay) with adjoining walking bridge to hotel. Our room was beautiful, clean and high ceilings made the room feel larger. Our room had access to the pool area. My husband and i loved the gorgeous China cabinet in the lobby. The only down fall is that there is nowhere to park to check in. All the streets are one ways so be aware not to miss the parking garage entrance. I highly suggest this hotel. Beautiful!

I hadn't been to Charleston in almost 20 years so I was quite pleased with the Wyndham location. It was within walking distance to almost everything. It was nice to come back to the hotel at night--the lobby area always smelled so good! The outside areas are very nice (courtyard and pool). When I come back to Charleston, this will be where I stay!

I selected the Mills House because of it's location and Trip Advisor Reviews. We had a Cabana Room, with a private door and sitting area next to the pool. While the room was a little small, it had everything we needed, plus the ability to sit outside extended our living space. We arrived at check in time, but our room wasn't ready. We were advised to take a seat nearby and they'd call when it was ready. After waiting about 20 minutes or so, my husband went back to the desk and asked and was told our room was indeed ready......but nobody told us. That was just a minor blip, and the rest of our stay was great. All the hotel employees we had contact with were helpful and friendly. We had one breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was excellent, as was the service. We valet parked our car, and it was brought to us quickly when we needed it. We would stay here again, without question.
