I have been to Cru Café several times, and I have never had anything other than an excellent meal. The hamburgers, the shrimp tagliatelle, General Tso's chicken, the fantastic bread pudding, everything is good. Service is on point and very knowledgeable, and prices are less than many Charleston establishments. My one complaint about Cru is that too many people are aware of it, and reservations can be hard to come by, although they do their best to accommodate walkups. If you are in Charleston during temperate weather, ask to sit on the porch and enjoy the surroundings. Don't leave Charleston without a trip to Cru.
