Front desk was efficient and helpful. Wireless internet was fast. They fixed a small hiccup with our initial room quickly and professionally. Special thanks to Linda, the front office supervisor! Great stay.

As to the internet, we currently provide 500 megs of reliable bandwidth and will double this by the end of this month (in comparison: 200 megs is the current industry standard). This is a well maintained older property that differentiates itself on service. Every person we encountered from valet, bell hop, front desk, bartender, and wait staff were remarkable. Kudos to the front desk for handling a late cancellation due to a family illness - and made reservations for us at the same time. We will stay here again simply for the above and beyond service of the front desk (Linda Sung rocks!). There is an extensive breakfast menu and buffet and the food was very good. Do not miss this one.

My experience at the Westin was awesome. I felt very comfortable, the staff at this hotel are amazing, I am talking about Valet, Reception, Restaurant, The ball room staff everyone has been great!!! The restaurant located at this hotel is very good both breakfast and brunch. Very accommodating hotel and staff. Super clean!

The Westin Poinsett is the place to stay if you are visiting Greenville. It is located in the center of downtown so everything is within walking distance. The staff is top notch. I would like to compliment Linda Sung who went above and beyond helping us with hotel reservations and making dinner reservations at Husk (be sure to have dinner there).
The hotel offers a quiet relaxing area for cocktails, a wonderful breakfast menu and buffet with once again very attentive service. Be sure to try the yogurt pancakes with fresh fruit.
Thanks Linda, we will be back again.

We made reservations for March 9 and 10 as part of a block of rooms reserved for a wedding in downtown Greenville. We made the reservations for our king room directly through the hotel with the banquet or group sales manager. We guaranteed with a credit card and received email confirmation. Upon arrival at about 6:30 on March 9th, we went to check in only to be told at the front desk the hotel was overbooked "like an airline". They wanted to relocate us to the Drury Inn on the outside of Greenville for Friday night.
We were shocked and thought at first this was some joke.
We indicated that we were not relocating to the Drury Inn. We asked to speak to a manager & was told that we were speaking to the manager on duty. They indicated all the downtown hotels were sold out. We said that is not our problem. After close to an hour, the staff found us a room at the ALoft a couple of blocks away.
We had a difficult night there because our King bed became 2 regular beds. But the worst was the noise in the hall and the adjacent room that went on until about 1 am.
We moved back to the Westin Saturday morning and our room was ready around 11 am.
The staffed comped our room Friday night, our parking for both days and discounted our room Saturday night. In fairness this saved us $250 to $300. But we would have rather had our room at the Westin Friday night and spent the money like we planned too.
The hotel itself is very nice and except for our problem Friday night, the staff seemed first class. The only advantage the Aloft had over the Westin was a walking shower were the Westin had the tub shower combo.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 11th floor very nice.

We are sincerely sorry for the relocation last week for your first night to our sister property, the Aloft. It was a very unfortunate situation and one we definitely did not want to be in. We appreciate, however, your mentioning of our team’s efforts to alleviate the disappointment as well as they could and thank you for your nice words about our hotel and the quality of our staff. We hope to see you again, definitely for the full length of your planned stay.
