We had a wonderful night out at Halls Chophouse! The she crab soup was delicious! We had rib eye and filet mignon with the largest loaded bake potato I've ever seen! Our waiter suggested we split the potato and we're so thankful he did. Our meat was cooked to perfection. The service was definitely five star! They have beautiful piano music playing at the bar which you could hear on the second floor where we ate. We will absolutely go back. The best place for a romantic evening in downtown Greenville!

We were looking for a special night out on our Anniversary and had never been to Halls but knew of their exceptional reputation in Charleston and decided to give them a try. Wow, were we glad we did! We were greeted on multiple occasions by different people thanking us for choosing Halls to celebrate our Anniversary. The staff worked as a team presenting food choices, delivering food and clearing plates. They have a well trained staff that is very focused on making your night out a wonderful experience and not just a meal. But it would not be a wonderful experience without incredible food. We started with She crab soup that was the best I have ever had. For our main course we had a filet with Gorgonzola and the Grouper and risotto special. The steak was cooked perfectly but I believe the next time we go we will try the truffle butter as everyone around us was raving about it and the Gorgonzola topping was just ok. For sides we chose the half side portions which was more than enough for 2 to share. The skillet corn was highly recommended by the servers and was out of this world. The loaded mash had some of the best bacon bits i have ever tasted. The Brussel sprouts were Ok but I would try something else next time. For Dessert we tried their signature cake with caramel and pralines. It was huge. Could have served 6!! Mark the manager came by our table several times to talk to us and made us feel at home. A delightful evening that I would highly recommend.

What can you say when everything was virtually perfect. We walked in the door and were personally greeted by Tommy Hall. I had called ahead to let them know it was a special occasion and they selected the best table for two in the house, by the window.

The one an only problem was the table was so good the earlier diners, wouldn't leave. The staff was very apologetic and offered us champagne at no charge and when the table finally opened, an appetizer was sent also at no charge.

Throughout the meal the service was as good as it gets and the food was wonderful. As one reviewer mentioned there was a bit of an attempt to upsell the food but fortunately for me there was only one quality of filet and it was out of this world.

When we got back home we were quite surprised to receive a handwritten card thanking us for dining with them...nice touch.

Fear not go and enjoy one of the very best steak houses in America.

This place is awesome. We went with friends that drove down from New Jersey and the food was amazing. The lobster mac and cheese is beyond words. I just love it. What makes this restaurant is the service. Some of the best service I've had. It is a pricey restaurant but worth it I think. Definitely not an everyday restaurant but for special occasions it's so worth it.
