This hotel is one of the best on the island when it comes to service and friendly, helpful staff. It is what I have come to expect from Marriott Hotels. Although it is older and shows it's age in some respects, it is clean, well-kept and comfortable. We stay here whenever we can.

I shut my lights off and turned them back on within 5 minutes. There to greet me was a cockroach on the other bed. Which, I suppose I understand, given that the resort is on the water and bugs happen. Engineering came in and sprayed bug spray and air freshener. Unfortunately that was the only pest. I woke up in the morning with 5 spider bites on my fingers.

My husband and our daughter spent a perfect Labor Day weekend on the resort. The ocean front room and balcony did not disappoint. The views are spectacular. My husband and I spent an hour enjoying the the pod of dolphins just off the shore. It was quite a show. We'll be back again! Thanks Marriott for the great service and location.

The hallway carpet was nice but always sandy and not vacuumed; the checkout clerk did not know how to get a restaurant charge added at checkout time; the food was excellent in The Cafe where it was prepared by a chef at the breakfast buffet.

We stay at this resort every year when we travel to Hilton Head, and it never disappoints! We stayed in an oceanfront room on the 7th floor - couldn't imagine a better view. The room was clean and bright - we had a small air conditioning issue, but they resolved it without a hitch. In fact, the head of maintenance, name Marilyn, personally assisted with making sure it was fixed! In addition, the Manager, Elise, followed up with us as well to make sure we were taken care of, and was very helpful in our situation. My favorite part about this resort is the pool/access to the beach - there's a bar where you can order drinks, and a restaurant on the deck next to the pool. It's a limited menu, but served our purpose. The pool is clean, and I was up early around 6 am to see that they had a crew cleaning not just the pool, but the chairs and whole area surrounding the pool. My wife and daughter went to the spa for massages, and were very pleased...overall, we were very happy here, and will be coming back.
