“Beautiful, large home perfect for a family vacation!”

Check-in and check-out went smoothly, the owner was very flexible.
The property was gorgeous, luxurious and large. Everything was clean and in good condition. It was easy to use the home for our needs. Nothing was lacking, everything worked properly. The home was well kept-up. There were plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, plates, cups, pots, pans, etc. to use to do all that we needed. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The individual bathrooms was a plus. The porch was large enough for everyone to be out there at once and have a place to be. The location on a cul-de-sac was safe and secure. The location on the golf course was a nice view. The trees hid the house from view from neighbors, which made it feel more secluded then it was, which was nice.
The location is beautiful. The beach was a simple bike ride or quick walk away on a safe and well taken care of bike/pedestrian path. The beaches were nice, not too crowded. Bike rental was easy, they deliver them to your home. Chair rental on the beach was also easy. The shops on the island were a bit pricey, but for the convenience they provided, it was worth it! They were just a short drive away from the house - grocery store, bank, spa, dining, and more.
I liked the spacious home the best. It was so relaxing and nice. I also liked the short jaunt to the beach the best.
The only things I disliked were really not related to the property at all, but to the Kiawah Island experience overall. I disliked how large the island was and how much we had to drive to get to the market area. I disliked that there was no pool access, but we knew that going into it and the beach was so close I actually didn't miss a pool.
Overall, it was a wonderful vacation and I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to a friend. In fact, I already have recommended it to two different families!

“Family Vacation”
Reviewed 8 April 2016 for a stay in August 2014

Our family enjoyed a fabulous week in this HUGE and welcoming home. Our group of 15--one teenager slept on an air mattress in the upstairs TV room--fit very comfortably in the space, with plenty of room for privacy and togetherness. The weather was perfect, so we spent a lot of time on the back porch, which is equipped with two very effective ceiling fans. The kitchen was outfitted with extremely high-quality appliances, and the washer and dryer (located in a separate laundry room) were top of the line. The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac, so it is very quiet, and the beach is about 5 minutes away on bike. I would not recommend this house for anyone who does not want to be on a bicycle--the walk to the beach feels long. But it is worth it: the beach on Kiawah is perfect.

Quite enjoyable - spacious well kept house - everything in order. Great kitchen - nice deck (screened and unscreened portions) - I do not know if the owner arranged for the perfect weather (all sun - 80 during day 70 at night) - quick bike ride to the beach or a 3/4 mile walk - a delight - be sure to rent bikes - great place to bike to almost any point on the Island
