Sheets not cleaned at all, obvious someone just made the bed; the crumpled pillow had hair on it; beyond gross were towels in bathroom - they had simply been refolded from prior guest, toilet had dirty streak stains from not being cleaned; the sink didn't drain and I snagged a live bug right from bedspread (I thought it was a bed bug but clerk at front desk said it was a roach - neither acceptable!!) We were in and out within 30 minutes. The lady at the front desk was super sweet and even recommended the Best Western next door (like another planet!!! clean, new and great staff and a "real" breakfast, not something described as "grab and go" and it was only $15 more!!!! At this point, I would have paid $150 more!!!!). When I lamented to the front desk lady that clearly this wasn't the first time she had this happen, she said "correct". It was by far the grossest place I had ever seen!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Room Tip: Go somewhere else!!!

This was a great stay for a last minute booking by us. The staff was wonderful, but they needed more staff members to give the others a break. The beds were a little bit hard, but comfy pillows. The breakfast was good for a grab and go, however it would be good to offer more options, or a full complimentary breakfast.

Needed a place to stay near Charleston in July on short notice. Everything was booked or way overpriced. Found this hotel on booking.com for $122 a night and booked it. Nothing fancy. It's a 3 story "motel" very near the iconic bridge near Patriots Point. Desk staff less than stellar. No eye contact and acted bothered by any questions. The office is small and dim. When we arrived the rate at the hotel was less than booking.com. They would not allow me to change my reservation even though I ended up booking a second room for extra family that night...The room itself was fine. Basic but comfortable. We had two double beds. The bathroom was clean but very small...could barely even turn around. I will say there appeared to be several long term guests or residents here who sat outside their rooms. The pool was clean and my kids enjoyed it. It was advertised as no breakfast, but they did have coffee and grab and go danish and fruit the next morning which was a plus. Apart from the rude staff the place was ok. Way overpriced because of the season (as was every other hotel in the area). But it was not a dive.
