Aspen Grille at 5101 N. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach serves excellent food. My wife and I ate there on 1/17/17 and enjoyed Scallops (her) and Pork Osso Bucco (I). Great food and great service in an environment bustling with diners and servers. A bit pricey, but well worth the price.

I was looking for someplace special to celebrate a friend's birthday. After going through a list of suggestions from members of our group, I made reservations at Aspen Grille on Open Table. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with a friendly smile and led to our table. A short time later our waiter, went over the menu and specials for the night. Everything sounded so good; but we finally decided to order the Flounder and Shrimp, Flounder stuffed with Crabmeat, and the Shrimp Risotto with a Caesar Salad. While we were waiting for our meals, we enjoyed a delicious basket of sour dough bread. We waited comfortably as we talked and listened to a backdrop of soft contemporary music. Our salads arrived and they not only looked delightful, but were quite delicious. Then our main courses were set on our table and the presentations were superb. Not only did our food look mouthwatering, but it tasted even better. Each one of us raved about our selections. We could not have been happier about our choices or the quality of our meals. We capped off the night by ordering desserts that included servings of Carrot Cake, Apple Crumble, and a 12 Layer Yellow Cake with Chocolate icing. We all were so satisfied at the end of our meals and walked away both happy and content. We highly recommend the Aspen Grille to celebrate any special occasion. There is no denying that it has stellar food, service, and ambience.

This was our first time there. Three of our party ordered off the menu and one ordered the special New Year's dinner. Everyone's meals were excellent. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Even though, they were crowded, the noise level was fine, and we clearly were not rushed in any way. Parking is a bit tight. My only minor issue is that they don't carry any white zinfandel wine.

Aspen Grille did not disappoint last night, as usual. We enjoyed our dinner with another couple in the delightful atmosphere with live music in the background. I almost always get the grouper. Last night it was served blackened over fingerling potatoes and with green beans. Husband had the filet with asparagus, and he said it was super tender. Other couple had the shrimp and grits (delish!) and flounder stuffed with crabmeat. Also had the Caesar salad (huge portion) and french onion soups. No room for dessert this time, except for coffee. Dee is an experienced server, and her assistant was spot on with suggestions for wine and beer. We try to make Aspen Grille one of our dining destinations whenever we are in MB.

The restaurant itself is lovely, white tablecloths are always a nice touch. We had reservations, but arrived early so we decided to sit at the bar. Boy was that a good idea. Alan is great! He is fun, generous, polite, very knowledgeable about the menu & wines. The food was great, we opted for appetizers. Oysters, beef tips, fried green tomatoes. Even though the blueberry bread pudding came highly recommended by Alan and couple sitting next to us, we went super simple with a creme brûlée...it was great too.
From 4:30 - (forgot end time) they have a great happy hour at bar ONLY featuring a nice selection of appetizers & drinks. I believe they were half off.
Don't miss Aspen, great for a romantic dinner!
