My family and I vacationed here July 29-August 3, 2017 and all I can say is amazing! This is our third time staying here and there is a reason we keep coming back. Our three bedroom, three bathroom oceanfront condo was clean, roomy and the decor was very nice. We were located on the 1st floor which we were a little nervous about but it turned out to be perfect. We were steps away from the elevator and the restaurant and that was a great convenience and we had no problem with traffic or noise in the hallway. The kitchen in the room had everything we needed including a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. It is such a plus to be able to come home with everything clean and ready to be put away. The view was spectacular even being on the first floor. Housekeeping was very efficient and left plenty of towels each day. The restaurant on site was out of this world. The breakfast buffet was delicious and even had the option to get a "to go" tray. We had dinner there two nights and both times were very good. Our grilled pork chop dinner was superb! and the chef even came out and spoke with us which was a very special touch. The pool side bar and grill was equally good and the service was excellent.
When we checked out we met the nicest man named Kamar who helped and us and shared some very inspirational messages with us which sent us on our way home with a smile. All in all it was a great vacation and I will stay there again.

Room Tip: Avoid getting there at check in time it can be a little congested

Welcome back and thank you for such a glowing review. I very much look forward to passing your comments on to all the departments, who work so hard, but to Tony and Mike in particular. They are both outstanding examples of employees who care and I am so grateful you noticed. Your review provides lots of useful information for future guests and I know they will appreciate your efforts as well.

Best Regards,

We had a wonderful vacation. Clean resort with very friendly staff. Very accommodating to my family, they made our vacation extra special. The resort was in a great location but not in an overcrowded area. Lifeguards were always on the beach. Safe location, my kids were able to play and we didn't have to worry about them going to the pool while we stayed on the beach. It was close to stores and the fair so the teenagers could go up the street and feel a little independence.

Well come back any time! So glad to see you are making the Avista your vacation home and thank you so much for noting our amazing staff. We have a new Executive Chef and the buffet is getting even better. Today Eggs Benedict on the buffet as well as fried shrimp and grits, yes both were wonderful...

Best Regards

Very responsive to any issue big or small, all were resolved within an hour and a phone call was made to confirm satisfaction.
The one bedroom condo was very clean, up to date and had everything we needed.
My only concern was just how crowded the resort was and the number of people trying to use the pools and elevators. I would recommend it if you're looking for a resort.

We appreciate your positive comments about our staff and glad to see you may be coming back. AS we head into the end of Aug you will find the same great amenities with plenty of room to walk the beaches and just about perfect weather. Sept is a good month to re-visit!

We arrived at Avista on Aug. 2nd and stayed for three nights. I was a little disappointed with the front desk staff who checked us in...she didn't seem very courteous or polite..like she had a bad day...but when we drove over to the North side parking for registration/check-in we were met by Jake, who was a very friendly, polite and courteous. he helped load all our baggage onto a cart and delivered it to our condo on the 14th floor. Apart from these two staff encounters we had none after that. The resort itself was very nice. We had rented a one bedroom and we were a family of 5. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and decor of the condo. Amazingly it would sleep atleast 7... there were two large sized double beds in the bedroom, then a Murphy bed with a pull out sofa in the living room. The rooms were very well furnisjed with a beach theme in every room. The only disappointing factor was the parking. parking is located across the street from the resort...it is free.. but beware the spots are very very very tight. Not only are the spots tight but also going up and coming down the floors is two way traffic.. not separate ways... so when you approach a bend and if there is another car in the opposite direction you btter be careful or you will likely scrape your car against the pillars. Also there is not much else other than the beach...Overall it is a good comfortable place... but a little on the pricey side.I guess if you book much in advance you will get better prices. Any short comings is well made up by the spectacular ocean and beach views. Thankfully we were located on the 14th floof with direct views of the ocean... so everything else just did not bother us much.

Room Tip: The resort is kind of horse shoe shaped so a direct view of the ocean will be somewhere in the middle and on higher floors.

Thank you for staying at eh Avista and for your informative review. I do want to apologize and bad day or not we never want to do anything but add to our guests stress free and enjoyable vacations. So glad Jake took good care of you, I will pass this along to him. Yes Parking Garages are tight but glad to see you enjoyed the Condo-Tel concept we have here and all the added space and amenities. We do hope you stay with us again so we can impress you from beginning to end.
