“unacceptable wait for food”
Review of Dakota Brick House

Dakota Brick House
Ranked #3 of 31 Restaurants in Vermillion
Price range: US$8 - US$23
Description: Dakota Brick House is the step up from the typical gastropub. With 20 rotating craft beer and wine list, Pre-Prohibition cocktails and our one every changing food menu. We bring something completely new to Vermillion. We are here to provide craft beer and wine, perfectly balanced cocktails and don't forget, amazing service. We want to make sure that every customer walks out of here because they have to not because they want to.

a Thursday nite loud and lively crowd enjoying themselves with a good looking menu before us we had a very unacceptable hour and a half wait for food.
The front crew did a very acceptable job in keeping drinks and what food came from the kitchen served. I know help is hard to find but orders out of order(people who came in after us were served and left before we were served) show disorganized management and kitchen staff. Food was good when we got it but you can't survive with such service unless you only rely on beer drinking college kids who don't care about time. Too many other places to go instead!

Popular with locals, this festive, happening, modern style place was pretty busy, but we had fast service and great pizza. Our pie was on medium thick crust which was slightly chewy and sweetish, and with also sweetish red sauce, We had the "Boilermaker" which was a three meat special, (and subbed onions for the sausage with fennel). This 12inch pie was plenty for two. I had the Homestead Irish Beer, slight nutty flavor, which came cold, but warmed up waiting for pizza. Good meal for only $25 with tip.

My niece is gluten-free and has some food allergies. I called and asked about it and the person gave me great information. Our server was equally knowledgeable and helpful. We asked to sit on the patio and we were told they had some bar chairs (tall) that sat up to a tall counter. We had a three year old with us and we decided to take it because it was busy. As soon as a table opened up behind us, the staff got us moved so we could pull up a high chair for my 3 year old. Food was incredible. We had a mix of stuff. From the pizza to a burger to the pulled pork sandwich to a roasted veggie salad. Everyone was impressed. Nice job!

Good beer selection! Food really good. Had the soft pretzel. Was really good. Pizza really good. Had the steak salad. Awesome. Nice atmosphere. If you like mixed drinks they have a nice selection. Great place to stop.

Servers and bartenders were hustling. Kitchen was slow, although in their defense, they had a sign up looking for help. Food was quite good when it came. Craft beer selection was extensive. The atmosphere was fun and busy. We ate at the bar rather than wait for a table on a Saturday night. One single woman's bathroom which I found odd in such a busy place.
